Peaceful times are sorely missed as our beloved professors mourn the deaths of their dear, brave sons.
Today’s Daily Tar Heel commemorates the Civil War, 150 years after news of the war first reached the University. There was no DTH until 1893, but today’s stories use information from the Wilson Library archives to imagine how the student newspaper might have covered the news then.
